Respiratory Protection
Approx. 5.5 million workers are exposed to respiratory hazards in the workplace. Research by both BSIF and HSE has highlighted concerns that Respiratory Protection is not being effectively selected, used, and maintained. A significant proportion of workplaces is still exposed to respiratory hazards.
Employers are encouraged to take reasonable steps to prevent exposure to substances hazardous to health.
